Switching restaurants

If you look after more than one restaurant — or you belong to more than one organization — the switcher at the top of the sidebar lets you jump between them. Everything else in the CRM (bookings, floor map, menu, settings) always reflects the restaurant you have selected.

Before you begin

The switcher lives at the top of the left sidebar and is available to everyone — no special permission is required. The options to switch between restaurants, add a restaurant, or switch organizations appear automatically when your account manages more than one. If you only manage a single restaurant, the switcher simply shows that restaurant’s name.

What the switcher controls

An Organization is the account your team signs in to, and it can contain one or more Restaurants. The switcher decides which restaurant is active right now. When you pick a different one, the whole CRM instantly re-points to it — its bookings, its floor map, its menu and its settings. Your choice is remembered the next time you sign in.

If the sidebar is collapsed to a narrow strip, click the arrow to expand it before you can see the switcher.

Switch between restaurants

1. At the top of the sidebar, click the restaurant name. It shows your restaurant’s logo, or a crossed-cutlery icon if you haven’t added one, with an up-and-down arrow beside it.
2. Under Restaurants, click the one you want to work in. A check mark shows which restaurant is currently active.
3. The CRM reloads its bookings, map, menu and settings for the restaurant you picked.

Open the switcher from the top of the sidebar to move between restaurants.

Set your default restaurant

The default restaurant is the one that opens automatically when you sign in. It is marked with a yellow star.

1. Open the switcher and find the restaurant you want to open by default.
2. Click the star button next to it (Set as default).
3. A star now marks it, and it will load first the next time you sign in.

Add a restaurant

1. Open the switcher and click Add Restaurant.
2. In the Add Restaurant dialog, type a name in the Restaurant Name field, for example My Italian Bistro.
3. Click Add Restaurant to create it. It becomes your active restaurant straight away.

Tip

The name is only there to get the restaurant created. You can rename it and fill in its full details later from its settings.

Switch organizations

If you belong to more than one organization, a Switch Organization option appears at the bottom of the switcher. Only organizations you are already a member of are listed here.

1. Open the switcher and click Switch Organization.
2. Choose the organization you want to work in. A check mark shows your current one.
3. Because each organization has its own restaurants, your restaurant selection is cleared. Pick a restaurant in the new organization to carry on.

Switching organizations clears the current restaurant so you choose one afresh.
