General & contact

The General tab is where you set the restaurant-wide preferences that shape how the calendar and the Bookings page behave for you and your team. Your public contact details — the phone number, email and address guests see — are set alongside your booking page. This page covers both, and points you to the right place for each.

It helps to know the difference between the two things this page covers:

General preferences

Internal behaviour — which day your calendar week starts on, whether the Bookings page opens in Calendar or List view, and whether guests must confirm a booking by email. These live on Settings ▸ General and only affect how the CRM works for you and your team.

Contact details

The phone, email and address shown to guests. These are part of your public booking page, so you edit them on the Booking Page editor rather than in Settings. Keeping them current is what lets guests call, email or find you.

  1. Open Settings from the left navigation.
  2. Stay on the General tab (it is the first one).
  3. Adjust any of the options below, then click Save Changes at the bottom.

Choose which day your calendar week starts on — anything from Sunday to Saturday. This sets how the week is laid out wherever you see a calendar in the CRM.

Choose how the Bookings page opens each time you go to it:

  • Calendar — shows your bookings in a calendar view.
  • List — shows your bookings in a table list.

Pick the one you reach for most. You can still switch between the two at any time from the Bookings page itself; this only sets the starting view.

The Require email confirmation switch decides what happens when a guest books from your public booking page:

  • On — the booking is held as a tentative reservation and the guest must confirm by clicking a link emailed to them within 20 minutes. If they do not, the table is released.
  • Off — the booking is confirmed instantly when the guest submits it.

On plans that include it, the Table Ordering card lets you switch on guest self-ordering:

  • Enable Customer Self-Ordering — guests scan a QR code on their table to view the menu and order from their phone.
  • Course Management — automatically groups ordered items into courses based on your menu categories and sends them to the kitchen in sequence.

If your plan does not include table ordering, this card guides you to upgrade instead of showing the switches.

Your restaurant’s default language, and the other languages your menu and booking page are offered in, are chosen on your Booking Page settings rather than here — see the related links below. If you are not using a booking page, a Languages tab appears in Settings instead so you can still set the default language for your menu.

Your phone number, email and address are shown to guests on your public booking page, so you edit them there — on the Contact page of the Booking Page editor.

  1. Go to Booking Page in the left navigation.
  2. Open the Pages tab, then the Contact page.
  3. Turn the contact page on, then fill in the fields below.
  4. Click Save Contact Info.

The Contact page of the Booking Page editor: phone, email and your address with a searchable map.
  • Phone — include the country code, for example +39 for Italy.
  • Email — the address guests can reach you at, such as info@restaurant.com.

If address search is available for your account, start typing in Search for your address and pick your restaurant from the suggestions. This fills in the street, city, state or province, postal code and country for you, and drops a pin on the map preview automatically.

You can also type each part of the address by hand:

  • Street
  • City
  • State / Province
  • Postal Code
  • Country

To nudge the map pin to the exact spot, open Advanced: Manual Coordinates and enter a Latitude and Longitude. A map preview updates so you can check the pin sits where you want before saving.

Both the General tab and the contact editor keep their save button greyed out until you actually change something, then it becomes active. On the General tab the button reads Save Changes; on the contact editor it reads Save Contact Info. Nothing is stored until you click it.
