What Si-Chef can do

Si-Chef works on the same data you see in the CRM, for the restaurant you have selected. Every area below says whether Si-Chef can check it — answer questions from live data — or change it, which always means preparing a proposal you approve first. The example questions are real asks: copy one, adjust the names and times, and try it.

Checks

  • “How many covers do we have on Friday?”
  • “What availability is left for four people next Saturday at 8:30pm?”
  • “Show me tonight’s bookings.”
  • “What service periods are active this week?”

Changes — prepared for your approval

  • “Add a phone booking for Saturday at 8pm: four people, name Rossi.”
  • “Move the Rossi booking on Saturday from 8pm to 9pm.”
  • “Mark the Rossi booking as seated.”
  • “Our 9pm table didn’t show — mark it as a no-show.”
  • “Cancel the 7:30pm booking for four under Mancini — the guest called.”

Checks

  • “List our tables and their capacities.”
  • “Which tables can seat six?”
  • “What does the room look like for tomorrow evening?”

Si-Chef reads the floor. Reassigning a table goes through the booking (see above), while redrawing the map stays in the Floor Map editor, where you can see the room while you work.

Checks

  • “Show me the dinner menu.”
  • “What’s the price of the Margherita?”
  • “Which categories is the tiramisù in?”

Changes — prepared for your approval

  • “Create a new Festive menu.”
  • “Add the panettone to the desserts, €8.”
  • “Update the Margherita price to €9.”
  • “Change the glass price of the house wine to €5.”
  • “Mark the burrata starter as unavailable — we ran out.”

Checks

  • “Which ingredients are attached to the Carbonara?”
  • “What’s below its minimum stock threshold?”
  • “Which option groups exist for our pizzas?”

Si-Chef reads stock and ingredient data; refilling stock and editing the ingredient catalog stay in the Menus section of the CRM.

Checks

  • “What are our best-selling dishes this month?”
  • “How did the tiramisù sell last week?”
  • “Show me the pizza sales trend this year, by month.”

Sales figures cover orders placed through Eighty-Six — QR table orders, order-ahead, and orders taken through the platform. Cash rung up outside it is not included, so read these as your digital orders, not the whole till.

Checks

  • “Where does our Instagram link point?”
  • “What changed on the menu link last month?”

Changes — prepared for your approval

  • “Update the menu link to the new winter menu URL.”
  • “Change the review link destination for all of our QR codes.”

Checks

  • “Which restaurants am I on?”
  • “What’s the contact email for this restaurant?”

A few honest limits, so you know when to use the CRM directly:

  • It never changes anything on its own. Every edit is a proposal, and it is applied only after you approve it — once.
  • It stays inside your Organization. Si-Chef cannot see, check, or touch another customer’s restaurant.
  • No platform-wide numbers. It cannot tell you how many restaurants use Eighty-Six, platform revenue, or anything beyond your own Organization.
  • It follows your permissions. Anything your account cannot do, Si-Chef cannot do for you either.
  • It is a chef, not an oracle. When something is ambiguous or missing, it asks instead of inventing an answer.

The areas above are what Si-Chef covers today. The list keeps growing — the goal is that everything you can click in the CRM, you can ask for from the chat.
